Failure to process Public
Folders. Possibly due to Access Denied on the public
folder.
Applies To:
AESS 5.0 or later
Conditions / Symptoms
When the MADSAESS Service attempts to process a public folder, errors processing
the configurations occur.
Issue / Cause
When the MADSAESS Service processes configurations, it requires
full access to the objects it is opening. Even with the
Exchange Service Account permissions, the public folders may
still be inaccessible.
To process a public folder, the MADSAESS Service requires
Publishing Editor permissions or Owner permissions on the public
folders.
Work Around / Fix
To correct this problem, use a utility
such as PFAdmin found in Back Office Resource Kit to quickly and
easily give the MADSAESS Mailbox permissions on the public
folders you wish to purchase.

PFAdmin utility, please contact Microsoft or visit their
