Processing of attachments could slow down if a high number of duplicate attachment names were encountered.

AESS 5.0 Build 1002.1101 or earlier.

Conditions / Symptoms

While the MADSAESS Service is processing a mailbox, the number of attachments processed would slow down whenever the number of attachments with duplicate names increased.

Issue / Cause

The MADSAESS Service would continue to check duplicate filenames until a unique filename could be found.  As more duplicate attachment names were found, the number of checks done to find a unique filename increased.

Work Around / Fix

To correct this, download and install the latest version of Attachment Executive Server Side 5.0.  The latest version optimizes the way that duplicate attachment names are processed.
