Article Topic:

Invalid file folders could be created if a subfolder ended with a space character.

Applies To:

AESS 5.0 Build 1002.1018 or earlier.

Conditions / Symptoms

If an attachment rule was set to place attachments in subfolders by category or sender name, and one of these subfolders resulted in a space character at the end of its name, the subfolder would be created but no attachments could be placed in it since the name being used for the file folder was invalid.

Issue / Cause

Files can not be saved to the file system if a file folder in the path has a space character at the end of it.

Work Around / Fix

To correct this, download and install the latest version of Attachment Executive Server Side 5.0.  The latest version removes space characters that appear at the front or at the end of both file folder names and attachment filenames.
