Topic:
Access denied problems when the MADSAESS Main Service or
MADSAESS RealTime Service processes mailboxes or public folders.
Applies To:
AESS 5.0 for Microsoft Exchange 4.0, 5.0 and 5.5
Conditions
/ Symptoms
When processing a mailbox or public folder, the services would
report that access was denied to the file folder location for
the attachments.
Issue /
Cause
The Microsoft Exchange System Account might not have access to
the file folders where attachments are stored. Since both the
MADSAESS Main Service and MADAESS RealTime Service operate under
the Microsoft Exchange System Account, that account must have
full permissions on all attachment file folders.
Work Around
/ Fix
To correct this, give the Microsoft Exchange System Account full
permissions to the root of attachment file folders. Allow these
permissions to be applied to all subfolders and files. |
