Topic:
Access denied problems when the MADSAESS Main Service or
MADSAESS RealTime Service processes mailboxes or public folders.
Applies To:
AESS 5.0 for Microsoft Exchange 2000
Conditions
/ Symptoms
When processing a mailbox or public folder, the services would
report that access was denied to the file folder location for
the attachments.
Issue /
Cause
The accounts that were created for the MADSAESS Main Service
and/or the MADSAESS RealTime Service may not have full
permissions on the file folders where attachments are stored.
This can occur if the file folders existed before the software
was installed, if permissions have been modified, or if one of
the services was installed after the other.
Work Around
/ Fix
To correct this, give the accounts for the MADSAESS Main Service
and MADSAESS RealTime Service full permissions to the root of
attachment file folders. Allow these permissions to be applied
to all subfolders and files. |
