The disk space for your Microsoft Exchange database may not appear to decrease in size after many attachments are removed from mailboxes.

Conditions / Symptoms

After using Attachment Executive Server Side to remove attachments from users mailboxes, the disk space on the machine where the Microsoft Exchange database is held still reports the same size as before the attachments were removed.

Issue / Cause

The Microsoft Exchange database may need to be defragmented before a reduction in disk space is seen.
