The "AESS Main Service" and "AESS RealTime Service" do not respond to the start request.

Conditions / Symptoms

When attempting to start the "AESS Main Service" or "AESS RealTime Service", an error message similar to "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" is returned.

Issue / Cause

This issue is caused by service pack 3 for Microsoft Windows 2000.

Work Around / Fix

Install service pack 4 or higher for Microsoft Windows 2000 on the server.
