-
An easy to use web interface for all your
users, whether they are sitting in the office or remote users they can
now update their own information.
-
An automated service has been added to
version 5.0 to take care of reminding users to update their information.
Customized messages are set up and then sent out to users to update
their information at predefined intervals. (Maintenance Rules)
-
Follow up actions within the Maintenance
Rules can check user information and if changes haven't been made by the
next interval, another reminder can be automatically sent or an action
performed. (This is very useful when users leave the
company. Their Windows NT/2000 account can be set to be disabled
if the user doesn't update their information after a given period of
time.)
-
With the ability to set Maintenance Rules
to perform actions for the stubborn users, Directory Assistant can help
you ensure the task of updating the information gets done. Setting
up actions for non-responsive clients can increase security by
performing tasks such as disabling accounts, thus ensuring users that
have left the company have their accounts disabled.
-
Directory Assistant will also help you
make your data consistent by scanning the directory for inconsistencies
and then sending a request to the user's to modify their information.
Directory Assistant is persistent and automatic and that means one less
thing for you to worry about.
-
Last but not least, Directory Assistant
will give you status reports on when the information in the directory
was last updated and what needs to be updated due to inconsistent or
non-existent data.
-
If you've invested any money in your
directory or are planning to, Directory Assistant 5.0 is an absolute
must to ensure your return on investment!
