Error message "The file is not compatible with this version of the Personal Folders information service" during PST processing.

Conditions / Symptoms

When processing a PST file the following error message appears "Personal Folders: The file <path to PST file> is not compatible with this version of the Personal Folders information service"

Issue / Cause

The PST file is in a Unicode format and the version of the e-mail system on the machine that is processing the PST file does not support Unicode formatted PST files.
