MADSolutions Directory Assistant makes keeping user information up to date the user's responsibility and facilitates the efficiency of ongoing updates. MADSolutions Directory Assistant doesn’t just allow users to update information; it takes the management of user information to an appropriate level of automation to streamline updating information and ensuring users keep their information up to date.
Allowing users to update information
Setup a policy specifying what directory information can be updated. Where appropriate provide easy to use drop downs so users can select predefined values.
Create different policies for different groups of users. Specify if changes/updates require authorization or not.
Assign the policy/policies to the group(s) of users you want.
With an easy to use web interface for all your users they can now update their own information.
Keep information up to date
An automated service takes care of reminding users to update their information. Administrators can customize messages and send them out via email to users to update their information at predefined intervals.
Follow up actions within the “Maintenance Rules” can check user information and if changes haven't been made by the next defined interval, another reminder can be automatically sent or an action performed. Setting reminders with actions will assist with users that leave the company. Their Windows AD account can be set to be disabled if the user doesn't update their information after a given period of time.
Maintenance Rules can perform actions for the stubborn users by enabling MADSolutions Directory Assistant to take action to help ensure the task of updating the information gets done. Setting up actions for non-responsive clients can increases security by notifying the helpdesk or their manager, or by performing tasks such as disabling accounts.
Standardization
MADSolutions Directory Assistant can make your data consistent by scanning for inconsistencies and automatically sending requests to the appropriate users to modify their information. MADSolutions Directory Assistant is persistent and automatic and that means one less thing for you to worry about.
