Directory Assistant - Testimonials

Ensure scheduled email maintenance and keep directory information up to date.

"[Directory Assistant]is an email administration answer to what could be termed a nightmare. I currently have 751 users on one Exchange system and keeping profile information up to date for this many people is like trying to keep 751 tennis balls under water at the same time. Giving the users the rights to keep this information up to date has, conceivably, made it unnecessary to hire additional Help Desk people. We move people between Divisions, Department, buildings, cities and states on a daily basis and by the time this information would get to the email administrator, updated in their profile and deployed to the rest of the organization, we would have lost a lot of contacts and possibly sales. We have customized users attributes and modified email templates and DA picked those changes up automatically allowing us to set the attributes and deploy the client out to the users ... the hardest part of the whole procedure is getting up from our desk and walking back to the server room!"

We were faced with the task of standardizing over 115,000 accounts across 15 sites of the Air Combat Command (ACC) in minimum time. Installed and implemented Directory Assistance (DA) at 15 remote locations in 3 weeks. DA allowed all ACC users, over 115,000 to update personal information themselves at the click of a mouse. What impressed me immediately was the ease of use requiring minimal administrator training. DA minimized confusion and provided a standardized solution with the flexibility to customize if needed. Technical support was top notch. They worked quickly to resolve any issues that arose. With DA we increased ACC’s 30% compliance level to 98% in 1 month—record time, most drastic improvement Air Force wide. DA in the Auto Mode has allowed base level administrators to maintain user information to the highest level of accuracy. DA helped pave the way for our migration to Exchange 2003.
